Why is change necessary in Jharkhand?
The change of government in Jharkhand is not only to change the political equation, but this change is necessary for the development and respect of the youth, tribals, OBCs, and mothers and sisters of the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said this while addressing thousands of people in favor of BJP candidate Babulal Marandi at the Vijay Sankalp Sabha organized in Doranda of Dhanwar. He made serious allegations against the JMM-Congress coalition government and made the public aware of the plans and intentions of the BJP.
BJP’s promise against corruption
Amit Shah said that the Congress and JMM government has only looted Jharkhand. He told that Rs 350 crore cash was recovered in Parliament, for counting which 27 note counting machines were installed. Apart from this, Rs 35 crore was seized from the house of Alamgir Alam’s servant. Shah said, “This money was sent by Modi ji for you, but these people ate it up. I promise, whoever has eaten up every penny of the public, the BJP government will put it back in the treasury of Jharkhand.”
Bangladeshi infiltration issue
Amit Shah described Bangladeshi infiltrators as a major reason for Jharkhand’s problems. He said that these infiltrators are not only taking away the jobs of backward classes, but are also grabbing the land of tribals and insulting tribal daughters. He alleged that Hemant Soren’s government has given protection to these infiltrators by including them in the voter list. Shah said, “If you form a BJP government, then every infiltrator will be thrown out one by one. Such security arrangements will be made that even a bird will not be able to fly.”
Attack on Hemant Soren
Amit Shah said that Hemant Soren shrugged off the issue of infiltration saying that it is the work of the Government of India. Shah quipped that if Soren had ever visited the Bangladesh border and seen the difficulties of BSF jawans, he would have understood how challenging border security is. He raised the question, “Hemant Soren, what are your Patwari and Thanedaar doing? In Jharkhand, infiltrators are being made voters.”
Article 370 and national security
Shah said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi talks about re-implementing Article 370 in Kashmir. But he promised the land of Jharkhand, “Even if your fourth generation comes, Article 370 will not be re-imposed.” Referring to the Pulwama attack, Shah said that the Modi government eliminated terrorists in Pakistan by conducting surgical strikes within ten days. He said, “Modi ji has made the country safe from terrorism and Jharkhand safe from Naxalism. By March 31, 2026, Naxalism will be eradicated from the entire country.”
Respect for Ram Mandir and cultural heritage
Amit Shah said that the Congress party kept the construction of Ram Mandir hanging for decades. But when the public made Modi ji the Prime Minister again, not only the case was won, but a grand Ram temple was also built in Ayodhya. This time Ramlala celebrated his Deepawali not in a tent, but in his temple. He also counted the development of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and Somnath Temple among the achievements of the BJP government.
Modi government’s schemes for the development of Jharkhand
Amit Shah, while counting the schemes after the formation of BJP government in Jharkhand, said:
- Rs 2100 will be sent to the bank accounts of all women.
- Gas cylinder will be available for Rs 500.
- Two gas cylinders will be given free every Diwali and Rakshabandhan.
- Unemployed youth will get an allowance of Rs 2000 every month.
- 2.85 lakh youth will be given government jobs without any paper leak.
- Anganwadi and Asha sisters will get a salary of Rs 15,000 every month and free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Economic and industrial development of Jharkhand
Shah said that Jharkhand’s soil has immense mineral wealth–reserves of coal, aluminium, and other minerals. Yet the people of Jharkhand are poor and go out for employment. If the BJP government is formed, so many factories will be set up in the state that the youth here will not have to go away from their families. Referring to projects like AIIMS and airport in Deoghar, he said that the Modi government has provided three times more funds for the development of Jharkhand.
Accused Congress of reservation politics
Attacking Rahul Gandhi, Shah said that the Congress party is planning to give reservation to Muslims, for which the rights of SC, ST and OBC communities will be cut. He said, “As long as there is even one BJP MLA in Jharkhand, Muslims will not get reservation.” He also alleged that the JMM-Congress government has insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution.
Sharp questions on corruption and development
Amit Shah said that Hemant Soren recently tweeted and asked what the BJP gave to Jharkhand. Shah retorted, “I am a son of a baniya, I have brought the account. From 2004 to 2014, the Sonia-Manmohan government gave only Rs 84,000 crore to Jharkhand. Whereas between 2014 and 2024, the Modi government gave three lakh ninety thousand crore rupees to Jharkhand. Did this money reach the public? Who ate it?” He promised that whoever is involved in corruption will be straightened by hanging him upside down.
Future of Jharkhand: BJP’s perspective
Shah appealed to the public to support the BJP. He said that if the BJP government is formed in Jharkhand, there will be development in every field. The poor will get employment, mothers and sisters will get respect, and the youth will get a guarantee of their future. He gave a clear message at the end of the meeting
